The Fundació PortAventura sets a new record for funds raised at the 13th edition of its annual Charity Dinner.

The total proceeds from this new edition will be equally divided to support the projects of Fundació Casa Sant Josep (Xarxa Santa Tecla), Fundació URV – Centre de Formació Permanent, and the Dreams Village project of the Fundació PortAventura.

More than 1,200 people gathered yesterday at the 13th edition of the traditional annual Charity Dinner of the Fundació PortAventura, held at the PortAventura Convention Centre. The event, which annually brings together charitable organizations, companies, public entities, and individuals, broke its fundraising record, raising 125,391 euros that will be fully and equally distributed among the social projects led by Fundació Casa Sant Josep (Xarxa Santa Tecla), Fundació URV – Centre de Formació Permanent, and the Dreams Village project of Fundació PortAventura.

The charity evening was filled with surprises and performances for a good cause under the theme “Let’s Dream of a Better Future.” Ramón Marsal, president of the Fundació PortAventura, presented the collected contributions during the ceremony and emphasized the importance of this event, highlighting that “it is an opportunity to reflect on the impact we can achieve together in our communities, contributing to projects with high social impact with the goal of building a more just, equitable, and opportunity-filled future for everyone.” He also expressed gratitude to the guests, partners, collaborating companies, and volunteers, “whose commitment and support make our mission possible.“

The PortAventura Foundation will hold its traditional Charity Dinner at the PortAventura Convention Centre on 17 July. The event will bring together individuals, companies, public entities and charitable organisations, who will be able to enjoy a dinner full of surprises and shows for a good cause, under the motto “A night that embraces many lives”.

All the money raised in this new edition will be allocated equally to promoting the projects of the Fundación Enriqueta Villavecchia, Fundación La Muntanyeta and the PortAventura Dreams project of the PortAventura Foundation.

Fundación Enriqueta Villavecchia

The Enriqueta Villavecchia Children’s Oncology Foundation has been working with children and young people suffering from serious, complex, or life-limiting illnesses and their families since 1989, offering comprehensive support both in the hospital and at home, throughout all stages of the illness.

The project we are presenting is the Victory Pavilion, a pioneering space that seeks to offer a warm, welcoming environment with specialized care within the hospital, yet separate from the usual clinical setting. This space is designed so that children and adolescents with cancer or serious illnesses can enjoy recreational, educational, and emotional activities that contribute to their well-being during treatment.

The Victory Pavilion not only improves the quality of life of patients but also allows us to work closely with families, strengthening their resilience and providing them with emotional and social tools to cope with the impact of the disease.

Fundación La Muntanyeta

The La Muntanyeta Foundation, a leading center in the province of Tarragona, has been working for over 50 years to serve people with cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities, supporting them throughout their lives through special education school services, an occupational workshop, and a residential home, with the goal of promoting their inclusion, autonomy, and well-being.

The project we are highlighting is the new La Muntanyeta residential home, which will open this summer in Bonavista, Tarragona. This pioneering complex, organized into residential units, will provide comprehensive, ongoing, and personalized care to people with significant support needs. This center has been designed with the dignity and quality of life of its users in mind, ensuring accessible, warm, and adapted spaces.

Beyond medical and healthcare, the project aims to create a true community where each person can develop their potential, actively participate, and receive the human support they need.

PortAventura Dreams

PortAventura Dreams Village is a PortAventura Foundation project that, for the past five years, has offered free, tailored vacations to children with serious illnesses and their families, in a safe, accessible, and exciting environment. Since its opening in 2019, the Dreams Village has welcomed more than 900 families from across the country, thanks to collaboration with leading hospitals such as Sant Joan de Déu, Vall d’Hebron, and Niño Jesús in Madrid. More than a place of rest, it is a space where leisure becomes a tool for emotional well-being, where families can reconnect and children can enjoy simply being children again.

A project that symbolizes the PortAventura Foundation’s commitment to inclusion, emotional health, and the right to childhood.

PLAN YOUR ROUTE

BY ROAD

The most convenient option to get there by car is the AP-7 or C-32 towards Tarragona. Exit 35 corresponds to the resort. If you are coming from Lleida (AP-2), C-32 at El Vendrell, or other points in Catalonia, you must also connect with the AP-7.

BY TRAIN

The Renfe R-16 line is the most direct way to reach PortAventura by train. The train station is not inside the park but is a few meters away. Once at the station, follow the signs to PortAventura World.

BY AVE

The Camp de Tarragona AVE station is 20 minutes from PortAventura and has a daily bus service that makes the journey.

BY PLANE

Reus Airport is the closest and is only 10 minutes away by road; Barcelona Airport is 1 hour away, and Girona Airport is 2 hours away.

Since 2011, we have organized our traditional Charity Dinner, which, after all these years, has become a benchmark in the field of charity events, bringing together individuals, companies, public entities, and charitable organizations.

Each edition is always characterized by a unique theme that reflects the values and principles that we at Fundació PortAventura aim to promote.
